About Boulder Recovery’s Masturbation Addiction Treatment Center
Boulder Recovery’s masturbation addiction treatment program is part of our 14-Day Intensive for men. The live-in program is for men struggling with masturbation, pornography, and other sexual addictions.
The treatment program uses the TINSA® (Trauma Induced Sexual Addiction) model, a neurobiological approach to understanding and healing sexual addiction, created by Dr. Michael Barta, CSAT-S.
The TINSA model recognizes that men with masturbation and other sexual addictions often experience trauma in childhood. Unresolved trauma drives addiction and compulsive behaviors. Our therapists work with men to heal traumatic experiences and attachment wounds.
Scripture- and Science-Based Approach to Healing
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2
Our masturbation addiction treatment program is specifically for Christian men, who often experience intense shame related to their behavior. We combine the latest in neurobiological research with the healing power of a faith community. Our hope is for program participants to rediscover their authentic selves and restore their relationships with God and their families.
We understand that addiction and discovering addiction in your home has a profound effect on spouses. Our program is the only Christian-based intensive in North America with support for partners impacted by betrayal trauma. We value the sanctity of marriage and desire restoration and healing for both partners.
The Partner Support Program meets virtually in the evenings during the 14-day program. It is exclusively for partners of the men in our treatment program.
Led by a betrayal trauma specialist, the partner program offers a safe and confidential community for partners to process their trauma and begin their healing journey.
